JACKSON COUNTY SENTENCES FOR WEEKS OF SEPTEMBER 2ND AND 9TH
Jackson County State’s Attorney, Joseph A. Cervantez, announced today that the following individuals have been sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Blake Morrison, 19, of Du Quoin, Illinois was convicted of one count of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm. Morrison was sentenced to 10 1/2 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Michael Evans Jr., 22, of Carbondale, Illinois, was convicted of one count of Unlawful Use of Weapons and one count of Unlawful Use of Weapons by a Felon. Evans was sentenced to 6 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Johnnie Banks, 33, of Carbondale, Illinois, was convicted of Residential Burglary. Banks was sentenced to 6 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Anthony Patrick, 32, of Makanda, Illinois, was convicted of Attempted Aggravated Robbery. Patrick was sentenced to 7 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Farleigh Ward, 22, of Carbondale, Illinois, was convicted of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm. Ward was sentenced to 4 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Esley Cornelius, 33, of Cairo, Illinois, was convicted of Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Unlawful Use of Weapons by a Felon. Cornelius was sentenced to 9 and a half years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Allen Surratt, 41, of Murphysboro, Illinois, was convicted of Unlawful Use of Weapons by a Felon, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, and Domestic Battery. Surratt was sentenced to 7 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Troy Schneider, 58, of Boulder, Colorado, was convicted of two counts of Arson. Schneider was sentenced to 12 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Ranita Lee, 40, of Carbondale, Illinois, was convicted of two counts of Retail Theft. Lee was sentenced to 4 and a half years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
David Brown, 45, of Carbondale, Illinois, was convicted of Retail Theft. Brown was sentenced to 2 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Alexander Settles, 30, of Carbondale, Illinois was convicted of Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Aggravated Battery of a Peace Officer. Settles was sentenced to 4 and a half years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
